Our story

The Rockford F.I.R.E. has been serving homeschool families in the Rockford area for many years by providing competitive, Christ-centered athletic opportunities that develop both athletic ability and Christian character. What began as a singular team has grown into a multi-sport program committed to helping student-athletes pursue excellence, build lasting relationships, and glorify God through athletics.

For many years, the Rockford F.I.R.E. operated as a ministry of Hallstrom Homeschool, where the program experienced significant growth and impact. In 2026, with Hallstrom's blessing and support, The Rockford F.I.R.E. became an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, allowing the program to continue serving the homeschool community while expanding opportunities for future generations.

Today, the Rockford F.I.R.E. remains committed to providing homeschool families with a lasting, high-quality athletic program rooted in biblical values. We strive to be a long-standing resource for our community—offering competitive sports in an environment where faith, integrity, teamwork, and excellence are cultivated both on and off the court. As we look to the future, our desire is to continue building a program that faithfully serves homeschool families for many years to come.
